This is Halloween month, but we have changed our date to one week earlier so as not to conflict with the activities for that specific night. So take note that the evening is the fourth Monday not the last Monday. However we are having a Halloween costume theme in that the entire night will be an open Mic night and you can read or perform whatever you want, poetry (3 minutes)and prose (5 minutes) and we encourage you to come in a costume of your choice but it is optional of course. Your WordStorm Executive will be coming in costume so you won't be alone. Try to link your costume to what you are reading if that is possible.

There will not be any open mic prizes this month.
However there will be a cash prize for the "best " costume.
Reserve at ascentaspirations@shaw.ca for seating at 6:30 and also to sign-up for the open mic. You can also sign-up when you arrive if there is space available.
